I was just uploading some image archive zip files (NO NOT THE ONES I'M DISTRIBUTING TO THE IMAGE MODS) to mediafire and I noticed that the upload speed was to a mere shitty 2,000 kbps. Usually it goes up to about 6,000 kbps. I waited for a while to see if it would accelerate to 6,500 or something but it's still staying at 2,000 - sometimes even lowering to about 1,700 kbps.
Am I doing something wrong here? Why the hell is it so slow?
Also as I write this post it's about 2,200 kbps currently, which is 262 KB/s of transmission speed. I also don't get why it is given in kbps when the bit is an atomic unit of data (as in it's small as hell). In fact the letter A uses 8 bits of space, so really there's nothing that is 1 bit in size...
My school somehow has a rocket speed of 120,000 kbps in upload speed - no kidding (14 MB/s upload). But it decays overtime and slows down to 10,000 kbps which is still decent.
Also picture of the shitty upload speed: [Full Resolution]
And I just ran an internet speed test. [Result] The download speed is still the same but the fucking upload speed shot down from 15 mbps to 5 mbps. WTF?
EDIT: Ran another internet test - the upload speed got worse. [Result]
Again, am I doing something wrong, is it my computer, or is it my ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

It could be that your ISP or Mediafire is under heavy load. This happens sometimes, and really, waiting is the only way out. You could also try shutting off your modem, then turning it on again in a few minutes.
It's nothing to worry about, hopefully. You're lucky you even have a free, fast access to the internet.

I'll try resetting my router and seeing if it works again. Thanks for the info.
