Chat rules:
NOTE: You can be banned for your first offense of breaking these rules.
- No flame wars (if you want to fight with someone do it in private or elsewhere)
- No excessive swearing. Extreme language like racist slurs will not be tolerated
- No trolling
- Do not feed the troll. If a troll arrives don't say anything.
- No spamming unless it's in a humerous or necessary manner
- Stay on topic unless the topic dies, in which then you can bring in a new topic of your choice
- Be mature
- No discussions of illegal activities
- No discussions of nudity, sex, etc unless it's in a mature and/or scientific manner
- Avoid spamming more than one line of text per 15 seconds
- Do not abuse the edit feature: serious abuse can lead to a kick
- Limit the use of caps; excessive ALL CAPS POSTING can lead to a kick or even a ban
- No gimmick accounts; your user name must match your NG name or at least somewhat resemble to your NG name of yourmain or alt(s)
- Mimickry will lead to a permanent ban
- DO not harass the moderators or other users
- Insults should be kept to a minimum
- Backseat modding is annoying, and is not allowed
- Don't even try to have cybersex or relationships. Do that in private chat, or somewhere else.
- Do not request questionable media such as porn or software
- Do not spam links repeatedly. Try to link only once per 5 minutes unless the topic demands it or if the peoplewant to see something external
- Linking to malicious sites will lead to an instant permanent ban
- Advertising your website or anything like that manner will lead to a ban unless there is a valid purpose to it other than downright whoring
- Do not discuss attacks on other websites or something in that manner
- Do not request users for their personal information
- Bitching about bans from the chat is not allowed. NG bans is OK to complain/rant/boast/whatever about unless the users don't want to hear about it. Hey we all got to release that steam somewhere. Just don't go flaming people.
- Avoid posting in another language unless you're teaching someone another language or are talking to someone who doesn't understand English very well. This is an English-only chat. It is suggested you speak in a different language to another person in private
- Do not exclude other users from the conversation. Everyone has the right to participate, and excluding people will lead to a severe ban
- Do not attempt to be a smartass around the rules unless it's comedic; the ban will be much more severe than breaking the rule itself
- If you're not an NG member, refrain from chatting. This is a chat only for Newgrounds users. UStream users who are not Newgrounds users should stay out of this chat

General conduct:
- Check what you're writing before you post it to the chat
- Respect other users and mods
- Any disputes or discussions with another user should be settled in a private chat and not in the public unless it's only the two of you in the chat
- Stay on topic
- If the chat is quiet for a few minutes or if the current topic dies, feel free to start another topic
- Do not spam the chat with consecutive two-word responses (meaning don't hit enter for every 2 words you type). It's spam.
- Do not abuse linking. It takes one person to ruin the privilege for everyone else.
- Use PROPER punctuation and grammar. It's OK if you make a few mistakes, and it is completely understandable if you're not good at English, but do not type like "I liek 2 do this for mah mom" or insensible gibberish. These things will be considered spam. Laziness is frowned upon here. If what you write makes absolutely no sense at all, it will be removed.
- If you can't positively contribute to a topic, don't post/say anything
- If you're not here to have fun, go somewhere else
- Respect the rules
Ask yourself this question before posting a message: Am I posting a message that is funny, informative, interesting, positively contributing, or helpful in some level?
If you use common sense, be polite, avoid spamming, avoid being an asshole, and overall have a good time, your chances of being banned or kick is almost zero.
Also, we're not perfect. PM me if you have a comment, question, or if you have problems with a mod or another user.
If there is any abuse in the chat and it requires moderation, PM a chat moderator (not an NG moderator or NG administrator; a chat moderator), or PM me and if we're online we'll come in and handle the problem. Do not backseat moderate the chat or try to moderate the chat, for it will only escalate the problem.
