I'm now seeing so many people that are like wanting a deity whistle so much that it's disgusting me to an unmeasurable degree (so is the BBS, but anyway). And when each of them get the whistle they wanted they just stop flagging and go boosting their B/P or BBS post count. The statwhoring is like fucking cancer; it's killing me and I think it's logical to say it is killing NG.
How many people stop at deity? I bet that's 99% of the users in this site. So far I can think of 1 2 3 4 5 (maybe 6) people who don't care about the whistle; they flag beyond the deity and keep going strong with no signs of stopping. However that's only a small fraction of the 1% of the user base who don't care about the whistle; they still continue flagging. And to make it more disgusting, so many news posts that link to abusive reviews (1 2 3 4) are only encouraging this activity where people help others who don't give two fucking shits about the site get deity. About 98% of the fucking user base deserve their deity whistles stripped and turned into fucking garbage.

While I look like a hypocrite criticizing news posts about abusive reviews while I actually have one, I still think mine's more legit for (A) it's part of the Newgrounds Guide, (B) there is an abusive review guide accompanied by it, and (C) it's a training session for people who want to know what to flag and what NOT to flag. It's not a "GET A DEITY WHISTLE HERE" post. So far those who left the post are (A) people who gave up on flagging, (B) people who left NG, or (C) people who decided that they can flag by themselves (the post has done its job for those people). Keven11Twenty7 learned how to properly flag reviews due to that post (well it was Part 10 but it was deleted by Wade by accident so meh). Not one has decided to leave and take their shiny whistle; and never using it again.
STOP FLAGGING AT DEITY. Just fucking keep going damnit. Even if it's flagging like 3 reviews a day, that's absolutely better than 0. You don't have to flag like 20 like I do, but at least USE THAT FUCKING POWER OF THE DEITY WHISTLE. IT'S JUST A FUCKING WASTE OF POWER JUST SITTING THERE POINTLESSLY.
If this post at least makes one statwhore reconsider and start flagging some reviews, this post has fulfilled this purpose.
I'm strongly hoping that the administrators will tighten up the whistle levels so hard that the level it takes to deity is the level it takes to get to bronze. It was better when there was one deity user in 2003 (ramagi) and it always will motivate people to flag abuse and gets some clean up done.
Along with that there needs to be a feature where people's whistle points slowly drop after no use of the whistle. If you're not using the whistle, what's the fucking point of even having one? You mind as well have the fucking garbage to show how much of a stupid reporter/useless piece of shit you truly are. Somewhat like the EXP feature in 2001-2004 (?) where if you don't fucking deposit but the #1 EXP person does you fall down a level.
The purpose of the whistle is to keep the site fucking clean, not make it a fucking "LOL LOOK AT MY SHINY WHISTLE BITCHES" bragging thing.
And this only applies to those who are flagging just for whistle points/deity whistle. Those who flag beyond deity or are flagging just to get rid of abuse, you're in the clear.
